On May 30th to June 1st, a record ground-breaking number of publishing industry professionals from across the globe attended BookExpo AMERICA 2008 hosted this year in the Los Angeles Convention Center managed by ABA (American Booksellers Association), AAP (Association of American Publishers) and BEA (BookExpo America).
Dubbed as the prime event for publishers worldwide "Where the world gathers to get a great READ on the industry," over 2000 exhibitors convene among 1000 authors during well advertised meet and greet autograph sessions along with 4000 librarians, 120+ educational programs, highly frequented special events, industry luncheons, workshops, seminars and events with an accessible International Rights Center where international copyrights are bought and sold on the spot.

One of BookExpo America's feature attractions by over 80,000 visitors annually is the African-American Pavilion.
